Today I realized that he had never written a guide on how to update Wordpress! So to you my guide ....

Follow the steps in order!

• Download version 2.6 from here
• Revenue in the control panel and disable all plugins and reset the original theme.
• Now create a folder on your desktop and name it Backup
• Connect via FTP to the root of your Wordpress and save the file wp-config.php
• Delete everything but the wp-content "ie one that contains your pictures plugins etc ..."
• Now you upload all files in the wordpress-2.6.zip
• Well now we have loaded our uppgrade we have to configure it!
• Well open your browser and go to www.nomeblog / wp-admin / upgrade.php
• Enter the data that are in the wp-config.php
• Please login!

PS: For security, I suggest you always make a backup of your MySQL database.

• Connect to your MySql
• Select your database "on the left"
• now select your DB

• in the next screen click EXPORT, copy the settings from the image and then click GO.

• Well you have downloaded your DB!
